Dr. Horace Dozier entered the world on January 11, 1956, and began his academic journey in Immokalee, Florida. After completing high school, he attended Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Blessed by God, Horace married Yvonne Dozier of Laurinburg, North Carolina, and together they raised eight children. On August 8, 1999, he was ordained as a Deacon at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church. God then led him to Tallahassee and Quincy, Florida, where he worked diligently and faithfully served. As God continued to guide his path, Horace answered the call to ministry and received his license to preach. He was ordained as Reverend on May 24, 2003, serving as Associate Minister at Bear Creek Bethel MBC and as Chief Evangelist of the Pine Bloom MB Association in Quincy, Florida. In January 2006, he became pastor of New Macedonia MB Church, serving for two years and acting as Vice Chairman of the Sunday School Convention. Later in 2006, he founded New Canaan MBC in Havana, Florida, serving as Senior Pastor until September 2014. God then moved him to Baltimore,

Maryland, where he joined Emmaus MBC and served as Associate Minister until April 2018. Eventually, Rev. Dozier returned home to South Florida, with his job facilitating the move. With more than 40 years of executive experience in both state and federal government, he is also a charter member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He earned his MBA from Nova Southeastern University School of Business, completed two graduate certificates in Biblical Studies and Christian Leadership from Liberty University, and received a Doctorate in Biblical Exposition, graduating Magna Cum Laude. On July 1, 2019, Pastor Horace Dozier was called to lead St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church. Throughout his journey, Reverend Dr. Horace Dozier Sr. consistently shares one of his favorite scriptures to inspire others.
